Review: The Morning Star

Being the daughter of Lucifer keeps seventeen year old Dawn Belial busy. For almost her entire lifetime, she has been trying to think of a way to free her Archangel mother, Michaela, whom her father has held captive for centuries. She's also attending high school - balancing trigonometry, history, and recruiting souls for her father along with her wicked half-sister, Venus.

There has been no time for love until she meets mysterious Gabriel, a British exchange student. As they fall in love against their will, she discovers a startling secret about him, and a shocking connection to her mother that changes everything.

I truly enjoyed this book!! It was unlike anything I''ve ever read before. Most books you read today  are all about werewolves and vampires, but not this one. I love angels and was so happy to find a YA book that was about them.  It's well written and had great characters. I LOVE Dawn! She is such a sweetie, even though she is Lucifers daughter!! I can't wait to read what happens next with her and Gabriel. There were a few parts where I got teary eyed and loved the surprises Tania thew in there for us. There's love, betrayal, loyalty, drama, and family.  Such a great read, highly recommend for someone who is looking for a good YA read! Will be looking forward to more from this author! Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
~Grab your current read
~Open to a random page
~Share 2 "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
Share the title and author as well, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!
My teasers:
1. " He was getting his payback for the control she'd taken from him, and she hated it. Loved it. Wanted more."

2. "Maybe you think you're woman enough to take him on, but I don't think so."  "What, did you try and not succeed? Because there's nothing about Remy that I can't-or don't want to-handle."

... All he’s asking for is her soul.

That house. You know the one. It’s the one that seems alive from the road with windows like eyes that see inside you, the one that seems to always be for sale, the one Anna Worthington has wanted to live in since childhood. Ghost stories be damned.

But the dark being that haunts this house, is something far more sinister than a ghost. Luc is an ancient incubus, trapped by a fifty-year-old curse, and Anna is a temptation too sweet for any demon, let alone a practically starved and crazy one.

Will she exorcise her house and live happily ever after with her cats, or will she fall prey to a dark lover who doesn’t just want her body, but her soul as well? If the demon has his way, dying will be her best case scenario.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've updated the Free Books List. What are you waiting for? Go check it out!!!
I'm just getting back in the swing of things and haven't had much time to look for some new stuff, but I DID come across this!! The second book in The Legends of Regia series by Tenaya Jayne. I was looking at her blog and came across this, I was soooooo excited!!! I loved the first book and can't wait to read the second book. :)
“Syrus…” Forest whispered. “Kiss me.”
He could see her clearly in the dark; her long tresses falling over her shoulders, her eyes spread madness in his mind, beckoning him. But every time he reached for her, his fingers drifted right through her and she’d vanish.
Loneliness had crystallized inside Syrus’ blood. The spiked edges lacerated him with every beat of his heart. The dark womb offered no warmth or comfort. His mind was stuck on an infinite loop that caused such terrible agony and sorrow; Forest. His self-induced hallucinations of her were a double-edged sword that cut going in and coming out, but he couldn’t find the power to stop having them. Physically he was weak like an old man. The cell made his mage power useless. Syrus could do nothing but wait.
